If you want to keep partying like it’s your job after the superclubs of Ibiza have shut their doors, then it’s time to head to another of our favourite destinations: Tulum, Mexico. Book your flights to the East Coast of the Yucatán Peninsula muy rápido, because a month-long festival is bringing some of the world’s hottest turntable talent and more to the Caribbean!
Running from the 28th of December 2018 until the 26th of January 2019, the likes of Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers, Behrouz, Matthias Tanzmann, Damian Lazarus, Andrea Oliva, Blond:Ish, Job Johse and many more are billed to rock the boho cool town on the Riviera Maya during Esto Es Tulum. And with such a tasty line-up on offer, music connoisseurs are expected to come flocking as the electronic music festival prepares itself for an onslaught of up to 7,000 revellers in the mystical setting of the Cenote Tortuga.
World-famous Ibiza club night Circoloco has been bestowed with the honour of opening Esto Es Tulum on December 28th, followed by parties hosted by Do Not Sit, ANTS, Acid Sundays and Luciano & Friends. And if you want to see in the New Year in style, don’t miss The Martinez Brothers on December 31st. As well as cutting-edge electronica, the festival will also showcase the state of Quintana Roo’s breath-taking natural beauty, gastronomy, culture and arts through a variety of experiences and workshops. Event site Cenote Tortuga will be styled for the occasion by Konyo Factory, who are distinguished for the creation of amazing spaces, stages and art facilities using all natural materials sympathetic to the local environment with drift wood, ‘woven basket’ materials and lush greenery with the addition of mesmeric lights and sound to enhance the beauty of the venue.
Early Bird tickets are on sale now, and a part of the profits has been promised to be donated to organisations that help to safeguard the natural heritage of the Riviera Maya.
