If you have already started planning your musical summer, don’t proceed any further! Because once you have seen the simply INSANE line-ups for the 2018 edition of Barcelona’s Primavera Sound and Madrid’s Mad Cool festivals, you will want to scrap any other plans.
Making a strong case for the fact that Spaniards do it better when it comes to curating music talent, when we first clocked the roster of artists announced for the two festivals we honestly had to question whether it was some sort of click-baity joke. But no. It’s real. Add to that Spain’s glorious weather and the always appealing locations of Barcelona and Madrid, and we bet you’re looking up flights before we can say Glasto…
Under the theme of Primavera Unchained, from May 30th – June 2nd get ready for the likes of – deep breath – Björk, Arctic Monkeys, Lorde, The War On Drugs, Haim, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, Vince Staples, Chvrches, Fourtet, Lykke Li, Jane Birkin and Charlotte Gainsbourgh, and many, many, many other incredible artists to rock Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona.
Running from July 12th – 14th, Mad Cool delivers a line-up that sounds like our fantasy league of festivals, including Depeche Mode, Pearl Jam, Tame Impala, Jack White, Massive Attack, Kasabian, Queens Of The Stone Age, MGMT, Justice, Nine Inch Nails, Future Islands, Franz Ferdinand, Snow Patrol and countless other greats. It’s almost too much to take in.
What are you waiting for? Get your tickets here and here. See you in the mosh pit!
